Training SQL Databases Fundamentals for Data Analysis is designed to give you the foundation to work with databases with SQL so you can start analyzing data using your own database. You will begin to ask the right questions and get the right answers to bring valuable insights to your business.

This training starts with the basics and assumes you do not have any knowledge or skills in SQL and you will gradually write simple and complex queries that will help you select data from the tables.
All workshops will be done on the Microsoft SQL Server database, the market leader in the database market for the last ten years. You can apply knowledge on this education to any other database (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, Google Big Query).
Training is intended for all students who want to learn the basics of working with databases using SQL regardless of their previous experience. No prior knowledge of databases and SQL is required.
After training, you will be ready to work on query databases using SQL language and use analytic tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) on the database.
In this module you will learn what relational databases are and what is SQL (structured query language). You will learn how to use the select and from statements to select the table and columns you need in the query.
In this module, you will learn how to join multiple tables through INNER, LEFT, RIGHT and FULL OUTER JOIN and merge multiple tables using the UNION and UNION ALL statements. You will learn the differences between JOIN and UNION and when to use that statements through various exercises.
In this module, you will learn how to filter qualitative and quantitative data using the WHERE, BETWEEN, LIKE, and IN commands, and how to sort the data in alphabetically or in size using the ORDER BY statement.
In this module, you will learn how to group or aggregate detailed data using the GROUP BY statement and how to filter data using the HAVING statement to filter grouped data.
In this module you will learn how to use basic aggregate functions like SUM, MIN, MAX, COUNT and DISTINCT, and how to do arithmetic calculations.
In this module, you will learn how to type, modify, and delete data in the database using the CREATE, UPDATE, DELETE and TRUNCATE commands.
In this module you will learn how to convert one type of data to another, for example, from the number to the text and vice versa using the CAST and CONVERT statements.
